Bollendorf, a state-approved climatic health resort in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate, is picturesquely situated on the River Sauer, which forms the border with Luxembourg here. The village was first mentioned in a document as early as 716 as "villa bollana".

Bollendorf has an outdoor swimming pool, an elementary school, a daycare center and children's playgrounds. A special feature is the volunteer-run youth center ZAK.

- Abteihof: The Tourist Information Bollendorf is located in the oldest residential building of the village, in the listed, stately "Abteihof".
- Bollendorf Castle: Bollendorf Castle sits enthroned above the River Sûre. The curtain wall and remains of the tower are still preserved from its medieval predecessor, which was built on Roman remains.
- Weilerbach Castle: This baroque castle from the 18th century, once used as an ironworks, has been restored and can be visited. It offers insights into the region's industrial past.
- Roman villa: Above Bollendorf Castle are the remains of a Roman villa rustica, which bear witness to the early settlement of the region.
Nature and leisure:
- Hiking and cycling tours: Bollendorf is located in the German-Luxembourg Nature Park and offers numerous hiking and cycling trails through impressive rocky landscapes and along the River Sûre. Popular destinations are the "Teufelsloch" and the "Predigtstuhl" rocks.
- Water sports: The Sauer invites you to go canoeing and fishing. There are also opportunities for swimming and relaxing on the banks of the river.
Traditional events:
- St. Nicholas Market: Every year on the first weekend of Advent, the St. Nicholas Market takes place in Bollendorf with a bazaar, fresh waffles and musical entertainment. On Sunday, St. Nicholas visits the children and hands out sweets.
- Apple festival: In autumn, Bollendorf celebrates the apple festival with regional specialties and apple-related activities.
- Carnival: Bollendorf is a carnival stronghold with an extensive program of events. The highlight of the session is the traditional parade on Carnival Tuesday.
