Sustainable mobility in the Eifel district - your opinion is needed!

Mobility stations link different, sustainable forms of mobility at one location. These can be parking spaces, charging stations, bicycle parking spaces and bus stops, which can be combined with each other and supplemented with lockers, parcel stations, etc.

A concept for the construction of 10 stations in the Eifel district is to be developed by Nuts One GmbH by the end of October 2025. As part of the Smart Cities funding program, two stations will then be built in the first implementation step. The aim is to create attractive alternatives to private cars and strengthen sustainable mobility options. Get involved - from the comfort of your own home, on the move or on site

To ensure that the concept is tailored as closely as possible to the needs of citizens, there are several ways in which they can get actively involved:

Online survey: Take a few minutes and let us know your requirements for mobility stations. Please use the survey link https://qrco.de/Mobi25

On-site workshops: Discuss with us in an open forum! We cordially invite you to contribute your ideas and wishes directly:

Workshop 1: On 08.04.2025 in the DGH Mettendorf we want to discuss mobility stations with the older residents of the Eifel district (65+) from 3 pm.

Workshop 2: On 10.04.2025 we will discuss the best possible locations for mobility stations with commuters at the DGH Weinsheim from 5 pm.

Workshop 3: On 11.04.2025, we want to discuss location ideas and equipment features of mobility stations together in the canteen of the St. Willibrord Gymnasium in Bitburg from 6 pm. This workshop is open to all interested citizens - but special focus will be placed on the interests of young people and young adults.

To take part in the workshops, registration is required by 30.03.2025: by email at eike.friedrichs@nuts.one or by calling the "Eifelkreis verbindet" project office on 06561 155169. The project team can also be contacted by email at eifelkreisverbindet@bitburg-pruem.de if you have any questions.
