Straßensperrung wegen Echternacher Springprozession

Seit dem Jahre 1996 empfängt und begrüßt der Erzbischof von Luxemburg, einem alten Brauch folgend, die Pilger, die aus dem Raum Prüm/Waxweiler an der traditionellen „Echternacher Springprozession“ in Echternach/Lux. teilnehmen, an der alten Grenzbrücke zwischen Echternach/Echternacherbrück.

    Der Zeitpunkt des Eintreffens und die Begrüßung der Pilger liegen am 26.05.2026 zwischen 07.00 und 07.30 Uhr. Während dieser Zeit ist die Kreuzung Bitburger Str. / Bollendorfer Str. für den Verkehr voll gesperrt.

    Zur Vermeidung von Behinderungen der Prozession ist die Grenzbrücke von 07.00 Uhr bis 15.00 Uhr für den fließenden Verkehr voll gesperrt. Des Weiteren ist ein absolutes Halteverbot im Bereich der Grenzbrücke angeordnet. Die Umleitung erfolgt über die neue Grenzbrücke (B257/E29).
