South Eifel Industrial Park

South Eifel Industrial Park

The Südeifel business park - on Zweikreuz - , 2 km from the Echternach/Luxembourg border crossing, offers an attractive location for almost all types of companies, especially those with an operational focus on Luxembourg. In a first construction phase, 20.5 hectares of commercial and industrial areas (GE and GI) were developed. There are currently 15,000 sqm still available for marketing. In the entrance area of the industrial estate, areas have also been designated for retail businesses with non-center-relevant product ranges. If required, an additional 10 hectares can be developed in a further development phase.

Soft location factors:

The area is located in the middle of the Felsenland Südeifel in the center of the German-Luxembourgish Nature Park in a beautiful natural and cultural landscape with a high quality of life and a high recreational value. Well-developed hiking and cycle path networks offer attractive leisure activities.

The tourist center of the southern Eifel around the Devil's Gorge is only 3 km away. It is also home to the Teufelsschlucht Dinosaur Park, a geological adventure park for the whole family, which has become a tourist hotspot with up to 100,000 visitors a year.

The designation of new development areas takes account of the steady population growth in the towns close to the border. Attractive building plots and properties are available at fair market prices. The sub-center of Irrel with approx. 1,800 inhabitants has an excellent range of services and amenities, which is also very popular with customers from Luxembourg due to its proximity to the border. Irrel also has good medical care with doctors, pharmacies and therapists.

Irrel is home to a primary and secondary school plus and a day care center with over 150 places. Secondary schools can be reached via a good public transport network. There are good bus connections to Bitburg, Trier and Luxembourg City. The neighboring Luxembourg town of Echternach (3 km) with its picturesque old town and famous abbey also has an attractive range of amenities and an outstanding cultural offering (Trifolion cultural/event center). The Roman city of Trier (25 km) and the European city of Luxembourg (35 km) offer a wide range of shopping and cultural activities.
